A detailed introduction to ceramic pressure sensors
What is a ceramic pressure sensor? Where does it apply? How is it used? Next, Meicheng ceramic manufacturer will introduce the application of ceramic pressure sensor.
The ceramic pressure sensor is corrosion-resistant and has no liquid transfer. The pressure directly acts on the front surface of the ceramic diaphragm, resulting in small deformation of the diaphragm. The thick film resistance is printed on the back of the ceramic diaphragm and connected to a Wheatstone bridge (closed bridge). The bridge generates a voltage signal that is linear in height and proportional to the pressure, and also proportional to the excitation voltage. The standard signal is calibrated as 2.0/3.0/3.3mV /V according to the different pressure range, which can be compatible with the strain sensor.
Its working principle is through the laser calibration, the sensor has a high temperature stability and time stability, the sensor comes with temperature compensation 0 ~ 70℃, and can be in direct contact with most media.
Basic structure and characteristics:
Ceramic pressure sensor is mainly composed of ceramic ring, ceramic diaphragm and ceramic cover plate. As a force sensitive elastic body, ceramic diaphragm is made of 95% AL2O3 porcelain, which is required to be smooth, uniform and dense. Its thickness and effective radius depend on the design range. The porcelain ring is fired at high temperature by hot die casting process. High temperature glass paste is used between the ceramic diaphragm and the porcelain ring, which is fired together by thick film printing and hot firing technology to form a force cup-shaped elastomer with peripheral fixative support, that is, a rigid structure without creep should be formed on the peripheral fixative support part of the ceramic. On the top surface of the ceramic diaphragm, namely the bottom of the porcelain cup, the circuit of the sensor is made by thick film technology. The circular groove at the bottom of the ceramic cover plate forms a certain gap between the cover plate and the diaphragm, and the diaphragm can be prevented from breaking due to excessive bending when the diaphragm is overloaded by the limit, forming the anti-overload protection of the sensor.
Ceramic is a recognized material with high elasticity, resistance to corrosion, wear, impact and vibration. The thermal stability of ceramic and its thick film resistance can make it work in a temperature range of -40 ~ 135℃, and has high precision and high stability of measurement. Electrical insulation degree >2kV, strong output signal, good long-term stability. Ceramic sensors with high characteristics and low price will be the development direction of pressure sensors. In Europe and the United States, there is a trend of replacing other types of sensors comprehensively. In China, more and more users are using ceramic sensors to replace diffused silicon pressure sensors.
Suitable for process control, environmental control, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, servo valves and drives, chemical products and chemical industry and medical instruments and many other fields. Thermal spraying high temperature resistant ceramic coating can best reflect the characteristics of thermal spraying technology, the application effect is the most outstanding, is the biggest influence.
